As RockDoc's founder and President, Dr. Sam Gutman sets the mission and vision of the consultancy and practice. Notably, Dr. Gutman guides RockDoc to serve as a partner to our clients and their clients.
"Finish what you started": Under Sam, RockDoc's mandate is to keep everyone involved in the game/race, onstage, or in the crowd by administering medical services onsite or on the road. We prefer taking a proactive approach versus shipping patients offsite where they can't finish what they worked or saved towards.
Since graduating from University of Western Ontario School of Medicine in 1991, Dr. Gutman has been a practicing Emergency Physician working in major trauma receiving and referral hospitals throughout Vancouver, BC.
Sam is also a Clinical Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at UBC and staff physician at Lion's Gate Hospital in North Vancouver. Currently, Sam is very active in the field of Mass Gathering Medicine and Disaster Medicine research, and shares his findings with all of RockDoc's clients, partners, and associates as well as agencies and governments.
